While not every rescue dog can become a Karma Dog, all rescue dogs need a second chance. If you are interested in adopting a dog, but want help picking out the right dog, our trainer will be happy to help you. Most rescue dogs have good hearts and they just need to find the right family to bring out the best in them. The best dog for you may not be the right dog for someone else. Finding the a good match for you and your family is important. Remember, this dog could be with you for up to TWENTY YEARS. When you make the decision to adopt a dog it is for the life of the dog. Once you have decided that you are ready for a dog, please consider adopting a rescue dog. Each year 6-8 million animals end up in shelters. Each year 3-4 million dogs and cats will be euthanized in shelters due to overcrowding or minor health problems, like sneezing or fleas. Only half of the animals in most shelters will find new homes. Most animals in shelters are not there because they are bad or ill or problematic. They are there because people did not consider what kind of dog to get or if it was the right time for their family to get a dog. Twenty five percent of dogs in shelters are pure bred dogs.
